Ann Arbor has excellent public schools, health care, public transit, and housing. And we’ve been named as one of America’s 50 Greenest Cities. And of course the cost of living here is way less than on the coasts. Ann Arbor’s Kerrytown neighborhood is home to the twice-weekly Farmer’s Market as well as Zingerman’s, known as the best deli west of New York and maybe in the country. Speaking of food, Ann Arbor has a ton of ethnic restaurants, including Thai, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Korean, Middle Eastern, Japanese, Indian, and Eastern European. And we have two excellent brew pubs.
And of course, Ann Arbor is home to University of Michigan football and other great sports teams.
Ann Arbor is less than an hour away from Detroit and less than four hours from Chicago. Windsor, Canada and Lake Huron are just an hour from Ann Arbor, and Lake Michigan about three hours. And the Detroit Metro Airport, a major hub for Northwest Airlines, is just 30 minutes from town. |
